At the heart of the Shell Turbo S4 X and GX grades is Shell’s innovative Gas to Liquids group III base oils. Unlike the normal
process where we take a crude oil, distill it down to specific fractions, we actually take natural gas and build up the desired base
oil composition through a series of steps of synthesis using what we call the Fischer Tropsch process, hydro-treating and distillation
to a very specific base oil with high purity and excellent repsonse to addtives.
