VOA has been a pioneer in offering re-entry services to ex-offenders
(“the formerly incarcerated”) for 119 years. Today, it remains a ma-
jor player in the re-entry field. Indeed, it operates a variety of halfway
houses, work-release programs, day reporting, diversion and pre-trial
services, residential treatment, family supports, and dispute resolution
and mediation services. Its website includes a useful search function for
locating re-entry services across the country by entering zip codes.

This gateway site is especially useful for re-entry professionals who
want to keep up on the latest news and developments on re-entry and
related criminal justice issues. Functioning as an information clearing-
house, it includes many informative articles on re-entry. It also includes
a library of archived articles, re-entry facts, videos, grants, upcoming
events, and links. Annual subscriptions cost $35 for individuals and
$100 for organizations.
