December 13 Tuesday – PLAQUE REMOVAL DAY
It was Tuesday! I made it. It was time to get the plaque removed. I jumped in
the way back of the Denali, Jay drove. Mom took her car, since she was
going to head home after the procedure. Off to Kaiser Santa Clara we went,
as we'd done all the times before. We parked in the same parking lot, entered

in the same entrance and went up the elevator to the 4 floor. We walked
down the hall to the registration area where Rose the admittance nurse
was. At this point, I was completely calm. I knew exactly what was going to

turn. I said by to mom and Jay, gave them a quick thumb up, then the nurses
rolled me down the hall to surgery. The last IV injection, kicked in. I was a
sleep.

good. There was no pain and no discomfort, but I was still numb like
before. My right eye was covered with another patch. While I came too, Dr.
Phan came in. She was happy to hear my feedback about the new radiation
plaque she had used from EYE PHYSICS. Dr. Phan shared the post op care I
would need to do, which was pretty much the same as the pre op care. Put
