Like I said before, we'd get chatting. My appointment went for 3 hours. It felt
good to get back to my normal life. It was my first day on the mend and I
couldn’t think of a better way to start my healing. My hair was done. I felt
great! I felt beautiful... even with my eye patch. I hugged my dear Heather,
thanking her for making me feel beautiful again, especially today.
While I was getting my hair done, I'd texted my best, life-long friend since
elementary school, Sarah. She lived in Morgan Hill, which was a city that was
on my way back to Jay's parents house. I was hoping she might be home and
I could swing by. I don’t get to see Sarah that often. Both of our lives are
always so busy, but with all that had been going on, I wanted to connect with
her.
Sarah had surgery for some personal issues. As a matter of fact, she had
been in the same hospital, at the same time, I was having my eye
surgery. Had the timing been a bit different that day, I’d had gone to see her,
but our surgeries were at the same time. Isn’t that funny? Not only are we
life-long friends, but we’re also surgery buddies!
Anyway, I wanted to connect with Sarah. I needed to see her. It was
important to me. Luckily, she was home recuperating with her husband
