Saturday finally arrived, but as Jimmy and his dad drove into the
parking lot, their happy anticipation was replaced with fear. They stood
outside their car watching smoke curl up into the sky and exchanged
worried glances, then hurried towards the pro shop to see what was
going on.
As they rounded the corner, Jimmy stopped and stared in horror at
the burning remains of the cart shack. He barely heard his father say,
“I’m going to check and make sure everyone is OK.”
