Joy Johnson, an Examiner in Evans,
gives Thanks!
During the December Holidays, we are
usually stressed with gift giving, cooking
and other extra activities. Unfortunately,
a DDS team member had an unexpected
emergency that changed her plans
drastically, not only for the holidays, but
for her life.
Joy Johnson, an examiner in the Evans
CSC, was traveling home from work when
she learned there was an electrical fire in
the home that she shares with her Mom,
brother and sister. Thankfully, the family
was away when the fire broke out.
Joy was the first to arrive, along with the
firefighters, and watched and waited
with her family as most of their
possessions were lost. However, Joy and
her family are grateful that they are all
safe and have begun restoring some
sense of normalcy to their lives.
With the help of the Red Cross, friends,
family and the local community, they are
rebuilding! Joy and her family have
settled into a rental house as the
insurance company completes their case.
Then they will be able to repair their
home.
