Patient Safety: a global health priority
On the first-ever World Patient Safety Day on 17 September 2019, the Johns Hopkins Hospital
dome will be lit in orange to mark the first World Patient Safety Day. Created by the World
Health Organization, the global campaign brings together patients, families, caregivers,
communities, health care workers and leaders, and policy makers to create awareness of
patient safety and urge people to show their commitment to making health care safer.
