ADMINISTRATOR’S LETTER

Dearest Team Members,

We have a lot to celebrate this October! Cheers to the

extraordinary technologists and physician assistants with
whom we work next to every day – this month is for you!

Please join me in thanking our fantastic Nuclear Medicine
Team, as we celebrate Nuclear Medicine and Molecular
Imaging Week October 6 – 12, 2019. I want to recognize the

hard work that our Bayview team provides each day and for
being such positive and forward-thinkers as they prepare for
their upcoming SPECT CT renovation this coming November
2019. They are one impressive and talented group!

In addition, I also wanted to recognize our fantastic Ultrasound team, as October is Medical

Ultrasound Awareness Month! Please join in celebrating and thanking our remarkable team of
sonographers that make an extraordinary contribution to modern medicine through the various
procedures and imaging they perform daily. Whether it’s an OB/GYN ultrasound, breast
ultrasound, or an extended drainage procedure – our sonographers rise to every occasion to
provide the best quality of care to our patients!

#PAWeek – October 6-12th allows to recognize and thank the many physician assistants (PA’s)
that we work with daily. Please join me thanking our Interventional Radiology Physician Assistant
Gerry Walters, PA and our dedicated team of Cardiology Physician Assistants for going above and
beyond for our patients and our department!

October is a great celebration month, in addition to celebrating our incredible imaging specialists,
it’s also a time to increase Breast Cancer awareness! This October, Bayview is proud to participate
in National Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Breast cancer is one of the most common types of
cancer in women after skin cancer. About 1 in 8 women born today in the United States will be
diagnosed with breast cancer at some point. Please feel free to reach out to Stephanie Watters,

Mammography Lead Technologist, for more details and information about this great month of
awareness!

Mark your calendars to join us on Wednesday October 30th for Pumpkinpalooza! Bring in
anything pumpkin to share with the department! We look forward to celebrate this fall festivity
together at 2pm in the Administrative Suite.
