I am regularly astonished by just how good this school is Current grandparent and former parent
The Summer Fayre, on the penultimate day
of term, was tinged with sadness as we bade farewell to Mr and Mrs Jones, Ava, Darcy and Jacob. However, the event itself was run beautifully as always and brought together the very best of
St Andrew’s.
We say a fond farewell to a few committee members as well and thank them for their help over the years. Please keep an eye on the website (www.pts-events.co.uk/FOSA) to find details about our future events, online ticket purchasing and committee contact details.

IN ADDITION TO THE FRIENDS EVENTS:
Just before Easter, Red Nose Day provided a wonderful opportunity for pupils to enjoy a carousel of activities around the school including an egg challenge, an egg and spoon race and a Would I lie to You game which saw children voting ‘Truth’ or ‘Lie’ on
outrageous statements made by a panel of staff. Year 8 pupil, Pheobe Wearne was the brainchild
behind our superb Christmas Fun Run with children from Reception to Year 8, plus keen staff, running in bubbles to raise money for the Brain Tumour Charity.
Thank you to the children, staff and parents who collected plastic milk bottle tops to raise money for a specialist college that increases confidence and skills in young disabled adults through performing arts.
And congratulations to Ben Falconer who cycled 51km on Zwift to raise money for Doddie Weir’s MND charity; to Poppy Campion who raised more than £4,500 in her virtual triathlon in aid of Macmillan Cancer; to Eva Grandi who donated the profits of her online accessories business on gifts for young teenagers to the Eastbourne Foodbank and to Dakota Kane who made Pony Pops horse treats with all monies going to the Brain Tumour charity.
