employees. I also served as a Supervisory Special Agent, in the FBI Field
Office in Little Rock, Arkansas, where 52 FBI Special Agents were assigned
to investigate Federal violations. As a Special Agent, I investigated a full
range of Federal crimes including complex white-collar crimes and
government fraud and corruption in Memphis, Tennessee, and Little Rock,
Arkansas. We kept Americans and American assets safe.
I was a Commissioned Officer in the United States Navy, serving two tours of
duty in Vietnam. My military service, MBA, and supervisory and leadership
experience in the Banking sector, especially the Citizen Trust Bank in Atlanta,
Georgia, where I supervised a full range of banking operations, including a
staff of more than 100 and assets in access of $50 million, channeled me to
become a federal employee and directly serve the American public. I continue
to serve for the advancement of our nation and its workers. I have been a
Consultant to the Allegiance Advisory Group and Los Alamos Laboratory, and
currently am Chairman of the Board of Directors, of the Worldwide
Responsible Accredited Production (WRAP). This is a nonprofit organization,
which promotes safe, humane, and ethical work environments for more than
2.2 million workers in 42 countries. I was one of the ten Founding Directors
of WRAP.
I am Barbara Sido, the current Executive Director for the National Active
and Retired Federal Employees Association (NARFE) in the United States
and U.S. Territories. As a Federal Manager, I served in the Department of
Labor, in the Employment and Training Administration. Under my
leadership, teams have developed award-winning websites and training
programs to assist Americans across our nation. I have also served at the
executive level in the private sector. I earned the Certified Association
Executive credential, having demonstrated through my vast experiences to
have mastered best practices in association management.
I am William Staarman, a Navy Veteran and civil servant employed by the
U.S. Department of Labor. I joined the Department as a Workmen’s
Compensation Claims Examiner in the Black Lung Program. I conducted
Informal Conferences and prepared final decisions following the hearings.
In 1978, I was sent to Denver, Colorado, as the first Deputy Commissioner to
open a Regional Office to service all Black Lung claims filed in states west of
the Mississippi River. Claims and appeals were handled at the Denver office
