                                              TEDDY CO

                                           Teddy Co has been a cultural worker in Philippine
                                           cinema the past 30 years.  As film archivist, he
                                           has recovered and gotten restored important films
                                           by  National  Artists,  including  the  first  animated
                                           Filipino  full-length  film  TADHANA  (by  Nonoy
                                           Marcelo),  having  dubbed  it  in  betamax  when
                                           it  had  its  first  and  only  screening  on  Philippine
                                           television in 1978.  As curator, he has organized
                                           centennial  retrospectives  for  important  Filipino
                                           filmmakers.    He  has  been  on  the  selection
                                           committees  of  local  independent  film  festivals,
                                including  Cinemalaya,  Cinema  One  Originals,  and  QCinema.
                                Since 2004, he has been a member of the Cinema Committee
                                of  the  National  Commission  for  Culture  and  the  Arts  (NCCA).
                                In  2008,  he  co-founded  Cinema  Rehiyon,  the  largest  annual
                                gathering  of  film  and  filmmakers  from  the  different  provinces
                                  of  the  country.    He  is  currently  the  Chairman  of  the  Cinema
                                Committee of the NCCA, and it’s Commissioner for the Arts.




           MARIA VICTORIA ILAGAN
        Prior  to  pursuing  a  career  as  an  independent  filmmaker,  Avic
        spent eighteen years as a theater artist of PETA doing production
        design, marketing and promotion, cultural research, facilitating
        workshops  and  eventually  doing  lead  and  support  roles.  Her
        films “Ang Babae Kapag Nag-iisa sa Maynila (A Woman Alone
        in  Manila),  “Dancing  In  The  Light,”  and  “Sowing  Seeds”  have
        been screened internationally. She has won several awards for
        her documentaries and short feature films at the Gawad CCP
        Para Sa Alternatibong Pelikula at Video in 1995, 1996 & 1997.
        She  works  in  various  projects  (video,  events  and  workshops)
        with migrant groups in Manila, Hong Kong and Japan. She has
        directed a number of drama teleplays and television shows aired
        on  national  television.  The  last  one  of  which  is  3R  (Respect,
        Relax & Respond), a tele magazine show for women. She is the
        Managing Partner/Director of black soup café + art space. She
        is currently active as a facilitator in the advocacy of promoting
        positive  discipline  under  PETA’s  Arts  Zone  Project  (Advocate
        Rights to Safety Zone).
