2.5.3 Ceiling Fins
Ceiling feature fins are to be installed in the
pattern described in section 2.5.2 Suspended
Ceilings above. The dimensions and setting out
of the fins should try to, in addition, follow these
rules:

Ceiling Fin and Downstand Limits’ for further information
1) The bottom of the fins must all be at the
same finished height from the floor.
2) The bottom of the fins must never be lower
than 2300mm AFFL, but may be higher.
3) The fins must never have more than 200mm
visible below the suspended ceiling.
4) The fins must never have less than 100mm
visible below the suspended ceiling.
5) If the suspended ceiling is lower than
2400mm AFFL then the fins should be
omitted completely.
The feature ceiling fins are to be made out
of 25 mm plain MDF, wrapped in striped vinyl
supplied and installed by Printflow. The vinyl is to
be applied on site, to front, back and underside
of each fin. The MDF fins are to be fixed into
powdercoated channel, finished RAL 7037 to
match ceiling grid. Channel fixed to soft wood
ladder frame, supported as necessary.
