The coldroom MUST incorporate an insulated and heated floor to avoid condensation problems
causing future damage to the floor below.

General Must comply with all relevant legislation in force at the time of manufacture.
Temperature range To be capable of maintaining the temperature in the range of 0 / +3 degrees
Celsius.
Dimensions External dimensions as stated on project drawings.
Insulation 80mm thick zero ODP injected polyurethane.
Finishes External - white food safe laminate steel.
Internal - white food safe laminate steel to walls and ceilings.

Floor The coldroom must have an insulated and heated floor to minimize the risk of
condensation below.
Door Hinged to suit clear opening of 0.750m x 1.920m high, with locking fastener and
internal emergency release mechanism.
NOTE: Although sliding doors are available, these are NOT recommended due to the tendency for them to repeatedly
come off the runners as a result of rough handling by staff.
PVC strip curtains For the door should be included as standard.
Light The coldroom must be fitted with a suitable internal light and external switch, as
standard. An emergency light to comply with BS5839 should be supplied and
installed by the coldroom installer, in addition to the working light.
Shelving Supply and install suitable 3 tier shelving, nominal size 1800 x 500mm, to fit under
the internal evaporator
Wall Spacers Supply and install nom. 75mm x 75mm S/S top hat section spacers, to run the full
length of all internal walls EXCEPT the wall under the evaporator.
Equipment Evaporator internally ceiling mounted. A condensate pump may be required
and should be priced as an optional extra.
External compressor unit in weather-proof housing and must be specified to be
very quiet in operation to avoid nuisance to neighbours when running. ( Sylensys
or similar)
Controls Filter/drier, sight glass etc.
Suction line insulated with Armaflex insulation.
Refrigerant System to be leak checked, evacuated and charged with current industry
standard refrigerant.
Wiring Supplied from 20 amp single phase outlet provided by others.
Pricing To include installation, commissioning, training, provision of operation and
maintenance manual and shelving
Warranty Twelve months parts and labour warranty should be required.
