maybe get caught again if they know I was home."

Grandpa looked at Grandma and said:

"You take some foods for them." Then he looked at
Nguyen's mother.

"How you could escape from them?" He asked.

"I got lucky. I followed you toward the Do village..."

"It was about 10 miles at the South side of our village."
Nguyen's grandpa interrupted.

"It belonged to Ha-Nam city." Nguyen's grandpa said.

"Yes... While she tries to mix with the people on the road to
hide the enemy. I try to find out the way to escape from her and
thought of you, my children and death. But I could not do what I
was wanted, because she watched me so tight. Also, I heard the
rumor news of French militarist and Vietnamese national troops
were operating combination on a large scale. We were in the
target area of French militarist's operation, so the people had run
up and down to find the way to get out of the danger zone.”

"How could you escape from this evil female?" Grandma
asked.

"After two day I followed my mom, we came into Do
Village at noon. They put me into a room without the furniture,
and they locked the door."

"They do not tie you up?" Grandma asked.

"No ... but they gave a warning to me that they will shoot
me if I make a noisy or try to escape from them."
