Conclusion

In conclusion as a group we have seen that the school is indeed facing challenges and they
are trying by all means to find solutions for these
challenges, as they have shown to be incorporating
some of the ideal teachers strategy we have
mentioned above and still lacking and
working on some of the strategies for
instance their technology environment is still
under development and need financial
assistance, and also the department is also
giving training to teachers for them to upgrade
their skills on using technology (smartboards) in
their teaching and learning, that will help them to be flexible
and be able to adapt to the ever changing technology world, and use it effectively in learners
learning.

So basically, it is a point beyond crucial for teachers to ensure that they make learners
understand why they are teaching them, because teaching and learning losses its substance if
the purpose is not clear and unknown. But how do we make the purpose clear? Isn’t this
supposed to be intrinsic? Provided we are teaching grown-ups here? These are the questions
teachers ask themselves but never find a respond.

Teachers alone will not
be able to win this battle
if parents don’t play their
part in emphasizing that
education is important,
we need everyone to
come to the party. So
basically, we need a
triangle of willingness (A
willing learner, a willing
teacher and a willing
parent) because honestly,
we are
teaching
learners that
do not want
to learn (most of
them), as we are
working with a different group of people with few of them believing in Education.

Collaboration is the key ideal teacher strategy that is needed by Thuto-Lesedi Secondary
