School context

Thuto-Lesedi is a school that is located at Rock Ville the school is in a township, the context
of the school differs. In terms of the school buildings the school is made up of four buildings
there’s an office by the main entrance, there are two blocks which is block C and D those
building they are made up of 3 floors. The settings in other classes is not proper because there
is a shortage of furniture such as chairs and tables, smartboard (although some classes have
smartboards which are not working and damaged by learners) that hinders teaching and
learning.

The school is so inclusive since leaners are from different background, the school consists of
learners from different sections of the suburb with different economic-socio backgrounds.
Some are from the upper class with all the privileges in life, while others are from the middle-
class who can afford the living, and lower class who survives from what is available to them.
The suburb consists of different ethnic groups with different cultures and religions. Some
learners come from fully developed sections and use buses, local mini taxis, and walk a short
distance to reach school while others come from poorly developed sections (shacks) and walks
a long distance to reach the school. In the morning they offer all kids breakfast and during
lunch they give them food.
