The Four Fundamental Reasons for buying ANY player on

               Football Index

               1. DIVIDEND POTENTIAL

That PB and MB stuff you’ve already swotted up on. Here’s why it’s so important.
Most traders’ motivation to buy is centred on dividend potential. For many, dividends are the
holy grail. The pot of gold at the end of the rainbow.

They are often the prime market mover, which means you need to be fully aware of the
Football Index Buzz magnets. So how do you identify the players who are going to earn you
extra cash – over and above their price rises?

                   1. For Media Buzz you want players who make headlines. Think Salah and the
breakthrough season that’s propelled him into the news. Neymar’s fight to be fit for
the World Cup. Ronaldo and Pogba can win MB points just for having a haircut. And
yes, during the upcoming 2018 transfer window, Gareth Bale is going to be in the
spotlight, just as Coutinho was in the run up to his Anfield exit. It’s no coincidence
that the high-priced players right at the top of the Index earn MB on a regular basis.
                   2. For Performance Buzz, take these three factors into consideration:

•Is the player in a strong team? (Or maybe has matches coming up against a weak
one.) This is important because you and – importantly – many other traders want
him to earn an 18 point win bonus. Players who lose more games than they win
don’t score as many points and are not seen as such reliable market movers.
•More juicy bonus points (18) are awarded for every goal scored. A game-winning
goal is worth 40 points. Clean sheets earn 25 points for defenders and 40 for
goalkeepers. Goalkeepers, by the way, very rarely win PB, which is why they are
amongst the cheapest players on the Index.
•Player status and team status. A non-international defender for Burnley grabbing
game winning goal is not going to move the market as much as the star forward
for Manchester United doing the same thing, simply because Man U are more
                          headline-worthy than Burnley.

               2. VALUE

By this, we mean pinpointing players who you reckon are a bit of a steal. The actual buy
price isn’t as relevant as you might think because determining value is as simple as asking
yourself, “Do I think this player’s price is more likely to go up than down, and can I grab a
               bargain by buying him now?”
One of the easiest things to do when you start out is to check out the names on the Decreased
List. For example, if a player’s price has fallen because he’s just been knocked out of the
Champions League but is set to play in the World Cup for a fancied team, you might want to
