A real fun project I started with the kids was to grow potatoes in a potato
grow bag which had a little flap at the bottom. This flap allowed the kids to

reach in and grab some potatoes while their potato plant continued to grow.

Or try a bit of a science experiment starting a potato by sitting your seed
potato in daylight until eyes begin to form and leaves begin to sprout. Then,

transplant your potato into a 5 gallon bucket or container or grow them in a
laundry basket then you can see the potatoes as they begin to form and

grow. For some added fun try growing some purple potatoes!

A cool system for indoor gardening is an aquaponics system in which an

aquarium of pet fish nourishes your plants grown above while the plants in
turn clean the water for the fish.
