Meet Terina Garcia, the New
Facilitator for the Clarksburg Area
Wishing you and Please join the SERT program in congratulating and welcoming Ms. Terina Garcia
to our team. Terina is our new Resource Conservation Assistant (commonly
those dear to you known as “SERT facilitator”) and replaces Mr. Arthur Hayes who retired last
a wonderful December.
Thanksgiving Day! Ms. Garcia has been with MCPS for more than 21 years.
During 12 of those years, she was an active member of the
school-based SERT/Green Teams at Montgomery Village MS

numerous field trips to the local recycling facility,
be filled with coordinated SERT school outreach events, and worked
gladness and diligently with the students, staff, and parents to promote Terina Garcia
and implement strategies to conserve energy and improve

filled with joy! conservation, she has participated in the county’s Watershed Program, and
routinely assists in maintaining the school garden at her son’s school.
During her time with the Department of Financial Services, she served on a
number of work teams and groups, most notably an active member of the
Equity team. Her work on that team has included the development of multiple
professional development courses for internal growth of candidates, and
additionally, served as a core speaker and trainer.
We look forward to Terina’s contributions as we continue working as a team to
promote environmental conservation throughout the MCPS system.
