Resources & Health Centre Facilities
Room Booking
Many units have rooms that can be used for holding conferences and meetings. Please speak with the unit
APCE or team leader to see if these unit-specific rooms are available for use. For booking of all other rooms,
contact the Catering & Room Booking Services at 416-530-6000 x 4008.
George Pennal Library
The library resources are available to all staff, faculty and students. The library’s collection is largely made up
of health sciences literature, with medicine and nursing as the main subject branches. Faculty and learners
may also access the e-Library which is available online at library.stjoestoronto.ca

Location: 1 floor, Sunnyside Building, East Wing (across Classroom 1-5)
Hours: Mon-Fri 7:00am-3:00pm
Parameters of Use: The use of the library requires respect for others who are also enjoying the library facilities
and services by maintaining a conducive noise level to quiet study, research and work. Faculty and students
are welcome to use the library during operational hours under the following parameters:
No borrowing privileges
No photocopying/printing
No holding post-conference meetings and discussions with a group larger than 5 individuals.

Lakeside Wellness Centre (Gym)
The gym is located on the Ground Floor, Sunnyside East Building. Instructors and students can use the facilities
during their placement. The cost for all staff, faculty and students is $12.00 per month. To make arrangements
contact the Manager at 416-530-6000, Ext. 3034.
Pharmacy
Pharmacy services are provided to inpatients, outpatients, staff, students and the general public. The Retail
(Outpatient) Pharmacy is located in the East Wing on the Ground Floor. It is open Monday to Friday from 8:00
am to 5:00 pm and closed holidays and weekends. For information, please call 416-530-6555.
Chapel
St. Joseph’s Chapel is open to all patients, friends, family, staff, students, and members of our community. It is
located in the Morrow Wing, Second Floor, just north of the elevators. It is always unlocked, and all who wish
to enter are welcome. Mass is celebrated on weekdays, Monday to Friday at 12 noon, and on Sundays at 10:30
a.m.
