The False Belief

We live in a world where we grow up reading and listening to
superstitious stories and incidents. Our elders, teachers and relatives
tell these stories in way we can?t help believing. I still remember the bad
day when the black cat crossed my path and an unfortunate happened.
The black cat is a very famous creepy animal not only in South Asia but
in western countries as well. The west believe that black cats are witches
and bring unfortunate but in some regions black cat brings good luck,
especially in Yorkshire, England. All those who believe in black cat bring
unfortunate should unite and raise voice against this racismJ. Before
raising the voice it is recommended to study about the psychological
behavior illusory correlation.
Since I was a believer, I got very curious to know about black cat powers.
One day I tried to figure out how many times I got unfortunate having
crossed by a black cat. I remembered that every time a black cat crossed
my mind triggered for bad, I got cautioned for considerable time but the
unfortunate happened only once. Does it mean that we can defy bad
luck by getting cautioned ! makes sense. So the bad happened only once
with me, was that because of the black cutie ? Absolutely not. Due to
curiosity I tried to get the trail by studying and asked the spontaneous
questions to my family and friends. I came to conclusion that there is no
association of a black cat with luck even though the participants of the
survey were fabricating their stories to make me believe. I was smelling
the lies through their teeth.
If you are Hollywood fan you may have watched the 13thfloor movie. In
many countries they don?t live on 13thfloor and even the elevator has no
button for 13thfloor. There are lot more things to prove that
well-educated comparatively plausible people of different societies
around the world are the believers of different myths.
