Liger

A Liger is a cross between male lion and a tigress. They share physical and behavioural qualities of
both parents. They have stripes and spots on a sandy background. The males can have a mane but it
will only be half the size of a pure lion. Male ligers are sterile but the females are often fertile.

               Tigon

The tigon is a cross between a lioness and a male tiger. Tigons are relatively small in comparison to
pure lions. They have physical and behavioural qualities of both parents. The tigon is less common
               than the liger.
The Caspian tiger, Javan tiger and the Bali tiger are already completely extinct.
