Pseudo-melanistic effect can happen when two golden tigers with the white gene mate, producing
tigers with no stripes.
They prey on samber deer, chital, barasingha, wild boar, gaur, nilgai, buffalo but also prey on dogs,
leopards, pythons, sloth bears and crocodiles.
Indochinese tiger known as Corbett’s tiger
They are slightly smaller than the Bengal tiger. The population of the Indochinese tiger is between
750 and 1300. They prefer forests in mountainous or hilly regions. They can be found primarily in
Thailand but also in Laos, Myanmar and Vietnam.
