The Bengal tiger is the national animal of Bangladesh and India, where the Malaysian tiger is the
national animal for Malaysia and the Siberian tiger is the national animal for South Korea.

Tigers are threatened by poaching, retaliatory killings and habitat loss. All parts of the tigers’ body
are sold for illegal trade. It is used for traditional medicines, folk remedies and status symbols among
some Asian cultures.
