An ideal teacher plays a
dynamic role and a flexible
role in learners’ lives, they go
beyond their jurisdiction, they
are parents, sisters, brothers,
etc., when required. An ideal
teacher connects to children
as human beings, he/she
extends a relationship to
children beyond the task of
teaching and learning even
when classrooms are
overcrowded.
An ideal teacher always prepares
properly to promote proper
performance in learners, therefore
an ideal teacher’s praxis is efficient
and effective in a context that is
unfavourable. When a teacher is
prepared for lessons a lot of
misconduct can be curbed
because preparedness prevents
poor time management. Proper
time management makes the
lesson coherent and well
structured.
