• Use Case Diagrams
• The purpose of the use case diagram is to show the relationship between
components of a “system” (a collection of components organized to
accomplish a specific function or set of functions)
• Use case diagrams use UML (Unified Modeling Language) to represent the
system. UML Components include:
• Actor: something (human or automated) that interacts with the system
• Function: an action that occurs within the system
• Relationship: how the actors and functions interrelate
• Create a use case diagram when you want to define or document the
process steps involved in your customer’s business capabilities
