• Business Capabilities
• A business capability is the ability of an organisation to perform a specific
task or achieve a specific objective
• Capabilities are business “building blocks” that represent business
functions. Each capability should be unique and independent
• Business capabilities comprise three components:
• People: humans performing actions within the task
• Tools (or Technology): anything non-human that is used to perform the
task
• Process: the steps taken to accomplish the task
