Dan cleaned the small area in the kitchen where he ate and then went to the bathroom.
“Any takers for the bathroom? Last chance.”
Neither woman spoke.
“You won’t have another opportunity until I wake up.”
He freed Jennifer and took her to the bedroom and hand-
cuffed her around the bottom of his large wooden bed.
“Be right back,” Dan said to Jennifer, going to get Sienna. “Come on, let’s go,” he told Sienna. “Your mother’s waiting.” He took her into the bedroom and handcuffed both together.
Then he forced both women at gunpoint to kneel at the foot of the bed and removed a handcuff from both of their left hands. He forced each one to place her free hand in the handcuff of the other. At the conclusion, both women were lying on the floor face down with their arms handcuffed to each other, forming a com- plete circle around a single large wooden bedpost. Jennifer’s left hand was attached to Sienna’s right and Sienna’s left right hand was attached to Sienna’s right.
Dan stood up and said, “That’s right. I’m taking no chances. I know both of you would like nothing better than to see me dead. Pretty solid stuff this oak. Now I know you two will have trouble sleeping. But if you wake me up, I won’t like it. Not even a little bit. After all I need my beauty rest. Well, it looks like you’ve been a good girl, so I guess I’ll tell you that bedtime story after all. Nothing you can do about it anyway.”
Both women facing each other raised up on their elbows lis- tening as their noses hovered close to the bedpost. Sienna looked at Dan from the side of the bed squinted eyes of curiosity. Jenni- fer could not see Dan from the bottom of the colossal bed at all.
“Don’t know what I’m talking about, huh kid?” he asked, removing his shoes. “Try this on for size. Once upon a time some- one pretty smart broke into one of our minor databases online. Of course that would be you. It really shocked the hell out of us
