Dan removed his pants.
“Everyone else was really quite cooperative. Your mother, rest her soul, embarrassed me in front of everybody and then had the nerve to throw me out,” he said, getting into bed.
“I knew it,” said Sienna. “I was right about you.”
“Well, unfortunately for her,” he mocked, leaning off the bed looking into Sienna’s eyes, “I had to come back and kill her. Actually, it was an accident to be honest. I came back to reason with her, but she tried to shoo me away as if I was a bum or something.”
“How does a dummy like you have such powerful friends?” Sienna asked, “cause there is no way you should have gotten away with killing her!”
“I’m FBI. You know,” membership has its fucking privileges. I happen to have some drugs on me, so I just sprinkled a little and went on my way. And since I just happen to be in the area investigating, you would be pleased to know that I even helped look for the guy who did your mama, cause that’s the kinda guy I am.”
The rage was welling up inside Sienna as involuntary tears forced their way down her face.
“You will pay for this. God will not let me go to my grave without seeing you on your way to hell first.”
“I doubt that. But if you wake me up, you’ll be there before me,” Dan growled, turning out the light.
