“The software I sent you can override his software program. Paul and I made a special modification in the disks I sent you so you would have the advantage.”
“What software?”
“You mean you never looked at the software I sent you? It was in the same package as the note!”
“Wait a minute,” Seige said, getting up to leave the room. “Watch him, Marcus.”
“Visara, come with me, he ordered, grabbing her enroute to the kitchen. That software you were telling me about. Did Sienna get it from the house?”
“Yes . . .”
“Nevermind. We must see it before it’s too late. Page Sky and get them over here now.”
Visara rushed out and Seige went back into the room with Tom and Marcus.
“Is there any part of Corin’s operation that’s not covered by this software?” he asked Tom.
“Nope. We programmed that software to control virtually ev- erything.”
Tom paused.
“Go ahead,” Seige demanded.
“Ha, ha, ha, ha!” Tom shook with laughter.
Marcus and Seige looked confusedly at each other. “Okay,” Marcus interrupted, you want to let us in on the
joke?”
“I just remembered that in our haste to make sure every-
thing was covered, we didn’t put in any of the manufacturing points. Probably the most important place we need to have cov- ered is not.”
“So,” Seige put in, “what does that mean to us?”
“It means that all four manufacturing points are still keeping records the old fashioned way, by computer with a database pro- gram and disk backup.”
