MARSHAL/RANGER SERVICE
Process:
The Golf Shop and Professional Team are responsible for ensuring the courses are play- ing in a timely manner and that all levels of expectations are above member/guest satis- factions. The primary focus of Marshall or Ranger Service is pace of play, they also have the responsibility to service the needs of golfers while on the course.
Practice Points:
Golf shop and marshals should check the GPS tracking system every 15 minutes to make sure pace of play is being upheld. Login and Password will change periodically.
Always introduce yourself to all groups with a warm greeting and be sure to offer assistance.
The Blue and Gold courses should be playing in 4 hours and 10 minutes.
Marshals should stay in contact with the Golf Shop and Starter house to ensure that groups are playing on pace and also informing them on their location to assist needs of member/guests whenever there is an emergency.
Marshals need to make sure water stations are lled in the morning prior to the rst tee time. Gold Course stations are on holes 2 & 11, the Blue course stations are on holes 5 & 14. Cases of water will be located in the bag room, cart barn, or the loading dock. The ice machine is in the hallway of the Congo Café.
Other than the Pace of Play, marshals should assist groups with: locating lost balls, raking bunkers, tending agsticks, weather inquiries, and course strategy (only when asked).
Course Marshals should be in contact with the caddies of every group to make sure they have everything to accommodate member/guest expectations.
Marshals should be trained in rst aid and emergency procedures. If you are not up to date or certi ed, please contact your supervisor.
When marshaling on the Gold Course it is your responsibility to check the Midway house on the outer nine and make sure it is clean and neat at all times.
Marshals should make it their goal to see each group twice during the course of their round, preferably once on the front and once on the back.
Every interaction should be positive and welcoming to ensure that they are enjoying their round.
