DRIVING RANGE
Process:
The Practice Facility and Instruction Tee provide the Congressional Member more than an area to warm up or practice their golf skills. These areas provide the opportunity to experi- ence the course conditions, become mentally prepared, receive professional instruction, and enjoy a total golf experience. All of the practice areas provide a dynamic opportunity to improve the player’s game. In addition, this is where we can allow our service shine.
Practice Points:
Driving range and Instruction Tee must be fully set-up and open every day, at least 30 minutes prior to the rst tee time, maintenance schedules permitting.
The appearance of each hitting station involves the following key elements; appropriately mowed hit- ting area, bag stands set precisely in a row (2 steps from back rope set by G&G) and wooden dividers (3 steps a part).
In addition to properly staged hitting stations, the driving range should have three amenity stations and 1 amenity station located on the Instruction tee. The stations should be equally spaced across the tees. Each amenity station should include; tee basket, club washer (full of clean water), towel stand (4 clean green towels), water bucket, yardage sign (accurate distance posted) and ice chest fully stocked with water bottles on ice.
Throughout the day, polite and courteous range attendants will present to keep the hitting areas clean and stocked for players. Attendants must be knowledgeable about the surroundings and keeping the designated areas in presentable fashion. This includes keep the left side of the driving range – the right side of #1 Blue – free of any range balls. Range attendants will also work in coordination
with Starters to prepare groups for play in a timely manner.
It is the responsibility of Range attendants and Instructors to maintain the Instruction tee in the neatest and tidiest fashion throughout the day, from sun rise to sun set.
Fitting Equipment which is stored in the Fitting Shed should be inspected daily by Instructors and Range Attendants to ensure all tting clubs are clean and neatly stored. Fitting equipment from the range will not be given out for play on the course
– unless a particular demo club requested by a member is not available in the Golf Shop. In this instance a club given from the Fitting Shed will be logged out and signed in when returned. The tting log will be located on the inside door of the Fitting Shed. It is the responsibility of the Team member signing out the club to ensure it is returned to the tting shed and signed back in on the Log.
Range attendants will pull out all Fitting Clubs onto the teaching area each morning. Fitting carts will be positioned directly behind the Canopy area. This area is expected to be maintained in a well presented fashion throughout the day. After a tting club has been used, it is the duty of the Team member to clean and return the club to the appropriate tting cart.
The area under the Canopy is reserved solely for members taking a lesson.
