FLORISTRY
Overview
This is a one-day workshop in contemporary oristry design and is suitable for both beginners and those with some experience in ower arranging. The course explores elements and principles of design and basic oristry techniques, hand tying and arranging in ower foam. Current trends in fashion and interiors are discussed and how they might be complemented by oristry designs and applied in contemporary work to create eye- catching arrangements. The course is delivered in conjunction with our Riviera-based oristry associates.
Course outline
Through demonstration of the latest tricks, techniques and products in oristry, students are encouraged to experiment and develop skills to create their own arrangements on board, working with a range of cut owers, props, colours and themes.

BARISTA
Overview
This highly interactive course simpli es the principles of coffee-making, providing every participant with the ability to make and present the perfect cup of coffee. Developed and delivered by an industry expert speci cally for The Crew Academy, the course takes into account the factors involved in operating a coffee machine on board a superyacht and provides students with the essentials required to master technique as well as clean and maintain equipment.
Course outline
This one-day course provides an intensive, but fun foundation of barista training, from the creation of a perfect espresso and milk frothing, to the correct maintenance of specialised coffee machines.. Through practical demonstration, students are taught to deliver consistent quality whilst operating quickly in order to produce numerous hot drinks at the same time. Latte art is taught using simple techniques adding a creative professionalism to the coffee experience.
Key outcomes
The course is designed to help trainees discover their individual signatures and develop their technique further.
Price
The price is €350, including all training material. The number of trainees per course is a minimum of four and a maximum of 10 to ensure optimal learning results. Please enquire about courses to be held on-board.
