Finding the Horse of Your Dreams
“A good horse is never a bad color”. This is a common saying you may have
heard from professional or experienced riders. However, some superstitions
about horse colors and markings have been passed around for generations. For
decades, many horse lovers have thought that the amount of white hair on a
horse determines how good, safe, or predictable the horse is. This superstition
applies especially for the white marks on the horse’s legs. The less white marks
the horse has on his legs, the more reliable and talented he is. But, can a simple
white leg mark tell you how trusty or capable a horse is? Some people who have
a lot of experience with horses swear this is true. Yet, there is no scientific evi-
dence that proves it (Layos, 2017). Plus, some of the best champion horses in the
World have three or four white legs. Some of them are:
