Introduction
Sometimes I wonder what it would be like if I sold my
horse, stopped riding and had a life like a normal teenager:
going to parties every Friday night instead of staying at
the barn getting ready for shows, spending my money on
make-up and fancy clothes instead of dressage lessons and
“unnecessary” stuff for my horse, visiting equestrian sto-
res in other countries rather than museums and remarka-
ble places… But, the truth is that I cannot imagine my life
without horses. They have been the most important part of
my life since I was a little girl. There is no horse lover who
can live without horses in their life. It doesn’t matter if they
don’t own one, horses are always there, galloping into their
hearts. Those who haven’t been bitten by the horse bug will
never understand this passion. I bet my parents wish I were
