What is the purpose of stretch wrapping pallets?
If it needs to be wrapped, it needs to be done properly. (Don’t lose sight of the objective)
Remember, pallets are wrapped to contain and protect your goods during transit and storage
in the most efficient and cost effective method.
Containment Force:
Film Layers x Wrapping Tightness = Containment Force
The right containment force is the key to pallet wrapping.
Containment force is the squeezing pressure the film puts
on a load which loads it together.
More film revolutions doesn’t mean your load will be
more secure. Inconsistent containment force or a poor ‘Containment Force’
load-to-pallet bond are the most common reason for The total squeezing pressure
pallet load failure. the film exerts on the load
1. The minimum amount of containment
force required everywhere on the load.
2. The load is bonded to the pallet
with a film cable.
3. There are no dragging film tails.
