                           3. Friendship with the world is hatred toward God

on the world, and no setting your heart on the world.

I am not talking about someone who says, ‘Ah, I am
affluent on the side of the world, I have enough money to
spend while I live, so I have no more greed and no more re-
grets’. And also I am not talking about someone who says, ‘I
am not interested in the world so much because of my char-

acter.’ I mean, it is the world that comes from the devil who
is the enemy of God, and that is built by the devil system-
atically in humans who have made an enemy relationship
with God, therefore, the world is the thing that is detestable
to God, the thing of the lust, the thing of the devil, and a sin

and death, so we have to consider it as dirty things and to
                 finish cleanly.
For the sake of faith, there is no need for us to pursue
the world no more than needed, so we are the poor because

there is nothing in our hearts about the world. That is why
it says that God chooses the poor in the eyes of the world to
be rich in faith. It stands to reason that we can receive the
heavenly things when we don’t have the things of the world
in us. It can never become the faith if we long for the world

and hold onto it in our lives. You may say you believe in
Jesus and are saved, but unless you become the poor in the
eyes of the world, there is no kingdom of God, the kingdom
of heaven, in you, and also you cannot be on the way to the

kingdom of heaven. James 4:16 says clearly that all boasting

                                           113
