3. Friendship with the world is hatred toward God

Usually you think such things are good and important,

but God says that it is a snare which you are caught by the
devil, and that harms you, which specially harms your spiri-
tual faith. And also He says that it defiles your faith, and that
is against God. Therefore, He says to forbid it. Nevertheless,
what are you excusing before that Word? You could make

excuses like this way: ‘it is too expensive, it is my hobby, it
is the things I like.’ Anyway, you could say with these many
excuses that ‘do I have to believe like this way?, it is difficult
to believe in Jesus, so how can I live like this way?’ But these
attitudes are against God. So, when you have the wrongness

that is revealed before God’s Word, despite you should have
realized you were deceived to live and then immediately
take an action, human pride still takes the attitudes that are
against God. However, people are repeating the same behav-

iors of Israelites who were grumbling and who were against
Moses with these words: ‘Why you brought us out of Egypt to
make us die? How can we live with this feeble condition? It
would have been better to die. Let’s go back to Egypt.’
But you must clearly know this. The Israelites who

were complaining about the suffering of the moment and
looking back on the world and holding onto the world were
all destroyed by God in the desert. They could not enter the
land of blessing Canaan that symbolized the kingdom of

heaven. Numbers 14:33-35 says that their children became
