Car Parking 5%
2017 was a strong year for the airport’s car parking business. Turnover Growth in Car Park Turnover
increased by 5%. The airport’s online car parking facility continues to grow
with over 15,500 car park transactions made online in 2017 - an increase 19%
of 19% year on year.
In 2017 the airport carried out major infrastructural works in the car park Growth in Online Parking
with a complete resurfacing of Car Park Zone 5, resulting in 250 permanent Bookings
surfaced car park spaces less than five minutes’ walk from the terminal
whilst a major upgrading of the car parking equipment was also completed.
Quarter 1 of 2018 will see further enhancements to the airport car park from
a signage perspective whilst the introduction of ‘number plate recognition’
technology for both online parking and gate customers will further enhance
the car park offering from an ease of use and security perspective for
passengers using the parking facilities at the airport.
