Commercial Growth 6%

Commercial growth continued to be strong in 2017 with combined Growth in Retail and Catering
turnover for the retail and catering outlets at the airport increasing by Turnover
6% year on year. Turnover in the retail outlets at the airport increased
by 6% aided by an investment in upgrading the cosmetics category in
the departures retail shop (ShopWest) which contributed to 16% growth
in this category whilst continued enhancements in the catering offering
at the airport contributed to a 6.5% increase in turnover.
2018 will see continued improvement works take place across all
commercial outlets with a major transformation and remodelling of our
departures area to improve passenger flow and maximise commercial
space planned to commence in quarter 4 of 2018.
