ACAWS
Jettisoning cargo can be dangerous due to the possible loss of aircraft
control or structural damage. Therefore, the aircraft commander must GROUND
consider carefully the emergency situation, operational consideration,
availability of suitable drop area and whether jettisoning is necessary.

Jettisoning should be planned so that the aircraft CG will be within FIRE/SMK
NORM normal limits for landing. Update new cargo weight on the PERF
INIT page.

jettisoning. It should be fully opened and locked

Use the paratroop doors if the cargo door
and ramp cannot be opened or if it is more
appropriate for the cargo being jettisoned. If BAILOUT
using the paratroop door(s), they shall be in the
fully up and locked position with the safety pin
installed.
