Before attempting to jettison, compute the aircraft CG
to ensure that it will be maintained within normal limits GROUND
for landing. Ensure the cargo height is within the cargo
height jettison limit.

Oversized cargo palletized on multiple pallets should be considered FIRE/SMK
NORM as one unit.
Pallets/platforms joined together in a train by a coupler should be PRES/OXY
separated, if conditions permit, and jettisoned one at a time.
Detailing emergency procedures is not practical because of the
many variables. This procedure provides basic steps for jettison of ENG/PROP
palletized cargo on rollers. It must be supplemented by sound pilot

Ten degrees nose up will allow gravity to extract the load.

During cargo jettison, move the elevator control
slowly, smoothly and no more than necessary to avoid DOR/RMP
exceeding structural limits.
