Make the lower crossing turn larger,
6 producing two bights on either side of the
standing parts of the rope.
R earrange the rope so that it follows the
5 layout shown in the photograph. Ensure that
the lines are parallel.
Lift and twist both of the lower loops and
7 pass them through the upper loops.
Pull the two loops outwards, until they reach Tighten the knot by pulling down on the
