Nomination Recognition 2017
Report by Individual Nominee
CATEGORY: LIFELONG LEARNER
NOMINEE NOMINATOR DEPARTMENT
Caitlin Meyer Kristina Schutte Quality Control 203100
Describe the situation or event related to the individual's or team's performance.
She is a great representation of the life-longer learner award from her always growing knowledge at GOJO.
She began her career in the QC Analytical Lab and In-Process, working on third shift as a tech II. Over the
years, though working on an off shift, she has worked her way up to a tech III. She has done this by learning
from supervisors or other experienced workers in her brief overlap with other shifts. She's also become
someone that other workers come to answer questions and help solve problems on third shift.
To continue her learning and career at GOJO, she than transferred to the QC Microbiology lab. There she
quickly caught up to maintain the learning and responsibilities that go along with being a tech III in a different
lab. She demonstrated her learning agility by doing this. Though located just down the hall from the Analytical
lab, she had to learn the new, fast-paced and more timely functions of the Micro lab.
Describe in detail the individual's or team's notable behaviors.
What makes her stand out is that she isn't choosing to just grow in just the role in which she started in GOJO,
she's also choosing to grow in other roles and become invaluable to the labs with her vast knowledge of the all
around workings.
What were the results of the individual’s or team’s behaviors?
Through her efforts, she has become one of the most well-rounded lab technician in the QC lab department.
She has made communication between labs more efficient, leading to quicker problem solving due to her
knowledge of the inner workings of multiple labs. This results in quicker responses to QA, allowing product to
be released and distributed to customers faster.
