PROFILE:
Describe the situation or event related to the individual's or team's performance.
This team has been an extraordinary example of collaboration. Through their work,
they have demonstrated highly effective communication, doing what it takes,
innovation without walls, continuous learning, learning agility, and strong business
literacy as they seek to identify a solution that not only works for this project, but
translates into a commercializable solution in the future.
What started as an opportunity to test surface spray with UH funded Athletic
trainers has strategically expanded into a powerful total solution that brought key
insights from the Education Market Development Lead (Mark Rundle), the Healthy
Places Surface Spray lead (Stephanie Bock), Market Research (Sara Fusco,
Tracey Gibb), Strategic Influencing (Jim Arbogast), Microbiology and Clinical
Science (Chelsea Conley), Field/Dispenser Services (Mary Rundle), SMARTLink,
Brokaw (creative agency) and the entire UH team where they built the project plan
around UH's internal Quality Improvement process so they could use the learning
and data within their organization.
Describe in detail the individual's or team's notable behaviors.
This team consistently and selflessly flowed to the work as it arose. Everyone could
be counted on to step in to provide feedback and guidance on the project plan and
execution elements, on-site installs and monitoring, data collection (including
surface swabbing of bathrooms and soak tubs!), communication asset
development, and frequent on-site meetings with the UH team to working within
their busy schedules.
Their customer service has been heralded by the UH team, and the solution they
have created has fundamentally improved the clarity of tasks for all involved.
What were the results of the individual’s or team’s behaviors?
The team has built a strong, collaborative relationship with Dr. Voos (UH) and his
team to secure a 4 school test (2 Universities and 2 Hospitals) that incorporated a
total solution of soap, sanitizer, dispensing systems, surface spray and accessories,
and wipes. Training, processes development, reminder messaging, and
stakeholder communications were created and delivered across the entire
stakeholder chain from Parents, to Administration, to Coaches, to Athletic Trainers,
and most importantly, Student Athletes.
