PROFILE:
Describe the situation or event related to the individual's or team's performance.
This project precisely describe this award of innovative ways of working, we design
a brand new supply chain, working with outside partners to bring agility to our
replenishment process in Colombia and is available to source Central America,
South America and the Caribbean. This was a real multifunctional team, putting
together Program Managers, International business leaders and analysts, quality,
finance, logistics and global sourcing. The best competencies about this work was
to have real mastery and leadership on each function involved; we worked
effectively to eliminate complexity understanding local regulations and processes to
adapt our products to local markets without incurring in extra costs. The impact to
enterprise was total lead-time reduction 93% and close to 70% profitability
improvements. As new opportunities we identify a CHG 2% soap that can be
produced at DIVERSAS eliminating the BRAZIL-COLOMBIA supply chain; this
product is actually under testing in our labs; if everything goes correctly we will be
producing locally this soap in the next 3 months.

Everyone knows very well its role and responsibilities, everyone has a broad
knowledge on its are of expertise, all of us with one common objective on
simplifying a supply chain.

What were the results of the individual’s or team’s behaviors?
We found, selected and qualified a local Contract Manufacturer (Diversas), who was
capable of bringing their own cosmetic soap formula for private labeling under
GOJO Deluxe soap following local regulations. This CM was able to blend, pack
and distribute this cosmetic soap reducing the total supply chain time from 90 days
to 7 days, as this kind of formula was source from Akron. Huge reduction on freights
and transportation cost that result on a profitability increase from about 20% to low
40%. This work was done in a record time of 7 months from identifying to start of
production.
