Korn Ferry Leadership Architect™ is a research-based, global competency framework that defines what
®
matters most for performance in the 21st century business environment. FYI for your improvement is an
easy-to-use guide providing hundreds of ideas to help you develop the 38 Competencies included in the
framework.

The guide includes chapters covering the 38 Competencies as well as 10 Career stallers and stoppers –
potential derailers that relate to the absence or misuse of competencies. The competency chapters
describe Talented, Skilled, Less skilled, and Overuse behaviors. Each of the staller and stopper chapters
describes what a problem in that area might look like as well as how it not being a problem may play out.
These descriptors provide a clear, accessible way to identify your development needs.

The competency chapters include:

 Questions to help you take time to reflect and to inspire you as you develop the competency.
 Some recommended search terms to get you started in your own research as you delve deeper into your
development strategy.
