Business Updates – Union Coop
No goal was ever achieved without a vision and my vision is to
grow J&J business in Union Coop with a rate of +11.5% in 2019 vs. LY.
Also, to be the highest contributor to Union Coop’s business within all
the categories J&J exist in with proper planning, smart investments, and
better partnership.
VICKY DAS In order to achieve these, the numbers have been forecasted for the year
Senior Manager 2019 and strategies were laid out accordingly. I also initiated a monthly
Insights & Business Development planning and tracking process to make sure we are on-track with our
GI/J&J Consumer Division
goals and achievement which has been quite effective so far. We also
made sure that all the events were aligned and executed as per J&J
calendar and participate in Union Coop events if any.
In Q2, due to increased business partnership, we were able to
overachieve Union Coop numbers. The challenge we had was with the
over stocks laying in the warehouse since the end of last year. We
2019 Target: managed the situation pretty well by directing the merchandising team
AED 24.9M to pull out maximum stocks of the focused SKU’s on to the shelves
followed by participating in category promotions and local initiatives.
YTD June 2019 Business also expanded through a new store opening. Overall, we were
able to maintain consistency with the stocks from the beginning of the
Achievement: year till date even after achieving AED 17.5 Million with a growth rate of
AED 17.5M which is +45.9% vs LY. Union Coop which was considered as an underdog a few
about +70.4% of the years back but is now among the prime top customers which drives not
target only Union Coop business but also contributes highly towards the overall
UAE numbers.
Growth Rate: In Q3, we look forward for the BMR execution, Cotton Touch Wave 2,
+45.9% vs LY Neutrogena Cellular Boost activations and hoping for better off take and
business growth.
Having said the above, my heartfelt thanks to our entire GI team, who
was involved in Union Coop business, specially Saif for making sure all
the operational tasks were accomplished on time, Neil and his
merchandising team for supporting us whenever needed and never
missed an opportunity to increase shelf share through free gondolas and
pallet displays apart from pulling out maximum stocks on to the shelves.
Overall, a great team and a fantastic achievement. Well done to all!
