The End Times—A Timetable
DOES THIS CHAPTER title make you think of those cartoons
of bearded men waving signs saying, "Repent, the end is
near?"
Are we who search Scripture for knowledge of the future
going to shout out that same hackneyed message?
We certainly are! We must!
Judging from certain Scriptures which give the charac-
teristics of "the end times," the end is indeed near. Should
you make your peace with God at this time? Yes. Today
would be better than tomorrow. This afternoon would be
better than this evening.
The Bible does not give a date for the end of this world
for good reasons. If it did we would certainly tell it to you,
and you would certainly do whatever you had to do to
avoid the consequences. Then God would have collected a
massive flock of sheep, blind sheep who followed out of
plain fear.
Belief is the ticket out of all this. The Scriptures are de-
signed to inspire faith.
First, in discussing what's to come, let us look at the
timetable of events given in the Scriptures.
THE SCHEDULE OF EVENTS
First will come the rapture. This is the moment when
