The Man In Love
the fruit of the Spirit is therefore a great risk in our Christian journey. Our very salvation will never be guaranteed.
THE BLESSING OF GOD’S PRESENCE. Jesus promised in John 14:23-24 that when we love Him by obeying His commandment, in return we will enjoy the love of His Father and He will come along with His Father to make their home with us.
Jesus answered and said to him, “If anyone loves Me, he will keep My word; and My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make Our home with him. He who does not love Me does not keep My words; and the word which you hear is not Mine but the Father's who sent Me.
John 14:23-24
The husband who loves his wife as Christ loved the church and also as he loves his body will enjoy the love of God the Father and his life, marriage and home will become home as well to Jesus and His Father. This is a great promise of the abiding, continuing presence of the Godhead in the husband and his family. This is wonderful. When the man loves his wife, is it not clear that he does very well for himself as a result? In Psalm 114, we can appreciate better what the presence of God in the husband and his family’s life accomplishes.
